I have included in the package a book, called The Teachings of a Buddhist Monk. I got to know Venerable Ajahn Sumedho about fifteen years ago, spending time on retreats and when I was visiting one of my sons in New Zealand, I bumped into him at the monastery in Wellington. Now that the practice of mindfulness is becoming accepted generally, even by many GPs  who still tend to hand out the pills, it may be beneficial to understand a little more about meditation and the practice that underpins it. I’m sure that this won’t compromise an atheist, or even a christian, who would like to explore what the purpose of life is all about from a different angle.
